Is it necessary to add pan card to your bank account before 1 July
Yes Govt of India has made it compulsory to add pan card to your bank account before 1 July. If you ignore this action then your pan card could be invalid after December 2017. This step will help govt to find out those who use multiple pan cards to escape tax. Right now, the pan card no is required if the transaction is going above Rs.50,000.
Also the Central govt had made it compulsory to quote the aadhar card number while filing income tax, Earlier it was optional. It seems like the govt is making aadhar card compulsory in each and every thing.
If you do not have pan card you can apply for a new pan card, online or by offline. In both case you will have to pay some fees.
This step will help govt to track each and every person financial transactions, whether if the transaction done by them is either correct or fraudulent. Those who use multiple pan cards will be forced to use only one. Please let us know what do you think about this step taken by the Govt.
